The end of 2019 was full of joy at Family Promise of Hamilton County as we were able to find permanent housing for three more families just prior to the holidays!

Leslie & Shelby stayed with us for 79 nights and are thrilled to be in a home that reunites them with Leslie's older son. He stayed with his grandmother during this transition. This single mom and her children are on their way to a new life!

Bri, Bryon and Mayanasia enjoyed the hospitality of our partner congregations for 88 nights. This young couple was mentored by our staff in many ways. They now have State ID cards, are taking classes, and are now receiving SNAP benefits. That is a lot of progress in a short time.

Not pictured are James and Kai who were with us for 33 nights. James is a US Navy Veteran who qualified for HUD benefits for a home but needed temporary shelter until it was ready. We also linked him with the Disabled Veteran Outreach Program at WorkOne to find better employment, helped with furniture for his new apartment, and connected him with Christian Legal Services for legal assistance.

Kudos to these families!  We will continue to meet with them for up to 18 months to help with their continued stability.
